Peter Clay is the distinguished voice of the Spartan Marching Band. Peter was a member of the Spartan Tuba Section while attending MSU, where he was a Telecommunication major, graduating in 1999. Following graduation he spent 7 years in Asheville, NC working in the radio industry as a on air host, music director, and eventually transitioning into sales roles. Since 2011, Peter has been with Nexstar Broadcasting, where he is the Local Sales Manager for their Lansing TV stations (WLNS TV6, WLAJ ABC 53 and CW5). In addition to the band, he also serves as the announcer for Spartan Hockey. Peter and his wife Christie have two children, Logan and Addy, and a houseful of cats and dogs.
